Dependability, reliability and compassion are traits that Just Better Care Community Support Worker Margaret has in spades.
It is these attributes that saw the Just Better Care Hills to Hornsby-based staff member be named last year’s National Just Better Care Possible Award Community Category winner in the company’s annual Possible Awards.
By making customers her first priority at all times, in all ways, Margaret consistently upholds the Just Better Care mantra by demonstrating that caring is her passion and not just her job.
Extraordinary
When putting her name forward for the award, Margaret’s fellow team members referred to her as an “extraordinary employee”.
“Members of our team look up to Margaret for guidance. [She] often accompanies our junior staff members on buddy shifts teaching them a range of skills including how to diffuse a challenging situation, working with customers with complex support needs, all while helping them improve their documentation and understanding of their role.”
Now the time has come to recognise other staff members just like Margaret who consistently go above and beyond in supporting customers to achieve their goals.
2023 awards
The Possible Awards, is an annual event held to celebrate the employees that go the extra mile and should be recognised for their hard work, dedication and commitment. The 2023 national nominations process is now open and Just Better Care are seeing some wonderful nominations from staff, customers their families. for 2023.
All Just Better Care employees, managers, franchise owners, customers and family members are eligible to nominate an employee they feel exemplifies what it means to be a leader in their field.
Voting
The nomination forms, which can be accessed online, include a small selection of questions covering everything from the nominee’s position to identifying which of the company values and behaviours the nominee should be recognised for.
Categories include Most Outstanding Team Player, Champion of Customer Values, Most Inspiring Customer Story, Best Office Based Award and HCP Manager and others.
Nominations will close by the end of the month and winners will be announced by late October.
