The 3 Blind Mice shined bright at the biggest Olympic distance triathlon in the world with a fresh set of webbed feet.

New member Beth joined originals Darryl and Robin two weeks ago for the Noosa Triathlon, with all three members performing extremely well with the assistance of their trusty pilots.

Beth is also 100% blind and brings an impressive catalogue of international World Sprint Triathlons to her name and fills the swimming mouse spot.

“Beth saw what we were doing and I think that inspired her to come out of retirement and seek a new challenge,” Darryl said.

The results included:
🏊‍ Swimming Mouse Beth/David 1.km - 31.38 mins
🚴 Riding Mouse Darryl/Phil 40km - 1.13.46 mins
🏃‍ Running Mouse Robin/Norbit 10km - 46.53 mins

"The aim moving forward is to get into the top 10 of the mixed Masters. We plan to achieve this at the Mooloolaba Tri on March 13," he said.

Just Better Care Sunshine Coast are proud to be giving a helpful hand throughout the group’s extraordinary journey through providing training and racing equipment, and covering entry fees.

“The Mice are very grateful of the sponsorship support from Just Better Care. Again thanks so much. We wouldn’t be able to do it without you.”

Richard, the former swimming mouse has gone onto have success in Dragon Boating with the Maroochy Sea Serpents as the front paddler.

“After a Dragon Boat try out day with 20 other blind people, Richard was hooked from the first day and has guided his crew to numerous victories.”
