Kathy is one of our dedicated registered nurses at Just Better Care, and she has found that the continuity and routine of working certain days and hours each week has provided her with a fantastic work-life balance—something particularly valuable in the demanding field of nursing.

Most of Kathy’s work is in our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes, with four located on the Sunshine Coast and one in Hervey Bay. Kathy enjoys working in these settings, as they have given her, her first experience in disability and community care during her nursing career. 

"I love working with the clients," she says. "I help them with their clinical support, liaise with GPs, pharmacies, and allied health professionals, and assist with their appointments. I also support the education and clinical development of our staff."

In addition to her work in the SIL homes, Kathy also serves the broader community by providing wound care. She encourages any registered nurses looking for a change to consider joining Just Better Care, where the work is varied, and the people—both colleagues and clients—are truly remarkable.
