I have been in Community Services for over 25 years. I have worked with clients in the Aged Care, NDIS & child safety programs. As a Care Partner, it is my job to manage participants’ care plans & budgets, with an emphasis on ensuring high-quality supports & meeting assessed care needs.
What I enjoy most about my role is getting out to meet the clients & their families.
In my role as an HR Officer, I'm passionate about people, culture, and creating great employee experiences. At Just Better Care Brisbane North, I oversee recruitment, workforce planning, employee engagement, training, and performance support to help build a capable and thriving team. My goal is simple: support our people so they can provide exceptional care to our clients.
What I enjoy most about my role is, without a doubt, chatting with our Home Care Workers. They have some amazing stories to share, and I love hearing about the difference they're making in our clients' lives. It's also a great opportunity to learn how we can better support them and help them thrive in their roles.
I’ve worked in admin for most of my working life. First in event management, then in the medical field, before starting with Just Better Care earlier this year. I look after third-party contractor onboarding and compliance, along with other general admin tasks, and have a hand in some aspects of finance.
For me, in my role, it’s about supporting the people who support our clients and keeping the place running smoothly so clients feel heard, respected, and well looked after.
In my current role, I am responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly, allowing the team to focus on clients. I assist with some of the finance tasks and running reports for management, liaising with our clients, service providers, and our bookkeeper. Also, I ensure the company is compliant with government and funding body regulations and organisational governance requirements, and assist Susanne and Kayla as necessary.
What I enjoy most about my role is that each day is different, and I enjoy the sense of achievement when a task is completed and working with a great team. Being able to assist a client or a colleague in resolving a problem or answering their questions.
I am responsible for planning and coordinating staff schedules to meet operational demands. Ensures optimal coverage, compliance with workplace policies, and efficient resource allocation. Uses workforce systems to manage shifts, reduce gaps, and support business needs while balancing employee availability, fairness, and wellbeing across the organisation. As well as coordinate training and staff professional development.
What I enjoy most about my role is solving staffing challenges and building efficient rosters that keep operations running smoothly. I like balancing business needs with employee well-being, and I find satisfaction in quickly fixing gaps, improving coverage, and using data to make scheduling more effective and fair. I also enjoy the fast pace, people, and customer service portion of my role.
I am the first point of contact for new client enquiries, coordinating intakes and ensuring a supportive start to their journey with Just Better Care Brisbane North. I match and build support teams based on client needs and preferences, ensuring workers have the right training and skills. I also manage ongoing rostering, adapting teams as needs change to maintain consistency and well-matched care for both clients and support workers.
What I enjoy most about my role is building strong relationships with both clients and support workers, and creating rosters that suit everyone involved. I like being able to match the right people together so clients receive consistent, quality support and support workers feel happy and supported in their roles.
After working as a Registered Nurse Supervisor and in a clinical role, I missed the client connection in establishing and maintaining meaningful relationships with my patients and working with them to achieve health care goals to improve their quality of life. So I finished up in my position and began my Journey in community nursing for the first time when I was welcomed into the Just Better Care Brisbane North team.
What I enjoy most about my role is creating and maintaining therapeutic relationships with my clients, built with compassionate care and trust, enabling the effective collaboration required to establish personalised goals. This is done by helping them achieve these goals and to get the best possible outcome.
I joined Just Better Care at the end of 2023, after working in residential aged care facilities, and in 2025 I progressed into my current rostering role. I really enjoy coordinating support and making sure everything runs smoothly for both clients and support workers.
What I enjoy most about my role is interacting with support workers and clients. I also find rostering very rewarding because it feels like solving a complex puzzle. There are many moving parts, and it’s satisfying when everything comes together in a way that meets everyone’s needs and keeps things running smoothly.
