We partnered with an independent survey company to ask Australians over the age of 55 about their financial readiness, priorities, and concerns as they approach retirement and the prospect of aged care.
This survey was conducted to provide insights into how older Australians are planning for this important stage of life and the challenges they anticipate.
The survey included responses from 1,030 Australians aged 55 and over, with nationally representative coverage across gender and state-based location.
The savings data from this research was calculated using weighted means from self-reported response frequencies of evenly distributed value ranges. The final, open-ended value range was given a conservative midpoint, consistent with the spread of the other ranges.
