As well as caring directly for customers, our enrolled nurses typically liaise with customers’ loved ones, medical practitioners, and possibly other healthcare professionals like physiotherapists or psychologists.

You will need patience, compassion and an ability to listen well, so you can help customers stay in touch with the things that really matter to them, even on difficult days. Stamina to meet both the physical and emotional demands of providing care and support is also essential. You could be supporting a young person with a brain injury or a customer who is near the end of their life. The ability to think clearly in a crisis and to keep calm is necessary to provide the best care.
You must be able to travel between customers’ homes, by providing your own transport. You will also need current national registration as an enrolled nurse, evidence of continued professional development in accordance with the National Registration Boards standards, a current Federal Police Check and a current first aid certificate.
