Every Just Better Care office is owned, operated and managed by a team of local healthcare professionals, including nurses, Support Workers and an office support team, backed by a national support office. Just Better Care Adelaide is independently owned and operated, founded and led by Regan and Shauna, and based at the Torrensville Hub.
There is no formal assessment process by a GP or government assessor. Instead, a registered nurse at each Just Better Care location will assess you to determine which support services you would most benefit from.
Every state of Australia has a Just Better Care location, each with a defined geographic service area. Yes, you will meet your Just Better Care Support Team and if your original team changes we will notify you of this change. If at anytime you have any questions about your team, your schedule or your support services, contact your local office team or coordinator.
Every office is independently owned, operated and managed and as such, the billing arrangements and terms of payment can vary between offices. The most common scenario is that an invoice will be generated weekly and payment terms will be within 7 days of receipt of invoice. Please verify this with your local Just Better Care office

Yes. Alongside private, self-funded care, our Adelaide team delivers government-funded aged care under the Support at Home program, which replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025. If you are an existing customer who transitioned from the former package program, talk to our local team about your options.
Many of our customers also privately pay to “top up” their home care package with more hours or additional services that their home care package does not allow for.
You can receive as many hours of care as you want each week. The hours can be easily increased or decreased whenever your needs change. You can also continue to work with your current trusted providers, such as cleaners or gardeners as part of your ongoing support plan.
Yes, all of our Support Workers understand that they need to perform their duties in a safe and responsible manner and this may mean that there are some tasks or requests that they will unable to perform. It's best to discuss any new requests or services with your office coordinator so that they can be arranged prior to the commencement of the rostered service.
No, there is no minimum period, although being open and transparent about how long you need support will help the office accommodate and schedule your support.
Our private support is charged by the hour. The minimum shift is usually two hours, but this varies by location and the support being provided. Ask the Just Better Care Adelaide office about the minimum shift time for the services in your care and support plan.
Yes, most offices provide disability support services under NDIS. Please enquire with the office directly about your options.
This will vary between Just Better Care locations as well as penalties such as cancellation fees. Typically, cancellations are accepted at no additional charge within 48 hours of the shift commencing.
Your Service Agreement will list out all the terms and conditions that are applicable to your support services, including how the local office deals with cancellations and rescheduling services.
Private in-home services. The Just Better Care office support team coordinates your needs and requests, and the Just Better Care clinical and management team (where applicable) provides oversight and management to ensure the support is delivered safely. The travel to your home from Just Better Care to arrive and the hourly or fixed rates of the various support team members included in your care and support plan.
You, the customer, pay for our services. You don’t have to receive government contributions; you can either pay privately or, if you do receive a subsidy, choose to top up your support privately. Our rates and charges will be explained to you upon enquiry; these rates and charges can differ based on location.
All offices are independently owned and operated. All accept credit cards or direct deposits; some may also offer a direct debit arrangement for ongoing support costs. Please check their preferred payment arrangements with the Just Better Care Adelaide office.

Yes, we’ve got experience working with a range of medical conditions. All Just Better Care team members undergo extensive training and hold the relevant qualifications to provide clinical support, as well as support for long-term conditions.
Wherever possible, yes. Building positive and trusting relationships with your support team is essential at Just Better Care. You're supported by a small, consistent team, and with 86 Support Workers and two nurses based locally, you'll see familiar faces. You'll also have complete visibility of your support team, including any changes to arrangements and scheduled visits, via the My JBC App.
Yes, Just Better Care can be provided on a short-term basis; being open and transparent about how long you will require support will assist us in making team members available.
Whilst we prefer our team members to be easily identifiable in uniforms, they can arrive in plain, discrete, casual clothing at your request.
No, we provide services to people 18 and older (and younger in rare cases). While we predominantly work with older people and people living with disabilities, we can also support adults who require home support but don’t describe themselves as older or living with a disability.

Private home care is personalised support in your home. You pay in full for all services provided and there is no government subsidy. This means that customers receive the expert care they need without a waitlist for the service.
