Winners are grinners as Just Better Care stages its esteemed annual awards event.

Across our nation, Support Workers follow their hearts to assist vulnerable members of our community. Day in, day out, they bring positive change to individuals and families, and these front-line workers, along with our other remarkable team members, deserve to be celebrated for their amazing contribution.

While Just Better Care recognises its team members at a local level with Possible Awards throughout the year, the National Possible Awards elevates this recognition across our Australian network.

This year, staff from Just Better Care offices in Brisbane North and Hawkesbury Nepean are grinning from ear to ear after recently taking out the top awards in the 2025 National Possible Awards.

The Possible Awards attracted an impressive 582 nominations this year, 342 of which were customer nominations, with the remainder coming from staff.

Andrew, a Support Worker from Just Better Care Hawkesbury Nepean and Blue Mountains was a standout, being named the National Possible Awards winner in the Field Staff category.

“Andrew is an exceptional team player who consistently demonstrates reliability, adaptability, and a calm, solution-focused approach to support work.”

During his time with Just Better Care Hawkesbury Nepean and Blue Mountains, Andrew has worked in many challenging situations, particularly with customers who present complex behaviours and cognitive impairments.

Other winning Support Workers were Niamh, from Just Better Care Brisbane North and CBD and Brisbane Outer North, taking home the Safety Champion of 2025, and Shirley, from Just Better Care Hawkesbury Nepean and Blue Mountains office, receiving the award for the Most Inspiring Customer Story of 2025.

The Just Better Care Mid North Coast office again dominated the Category Award winners, taking home three gongs including Support Worker Simone winning the Commitment to Training and Development award, and fellow Support Worker Susanne being recognised for her Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Each will receive a financial grant, together with a national certificate of recognition.

Jessika from Just Better Care Brisbane North CBD and Brisbane Outer North was named the 2025 Just Better Care National Possible Awards Office category winner, marking the second year in a row a team member from that office was recognised in the awards.

Jessika’s professionalism and ability to ensure customers and team members feel supported, respected and empowered saw her attract more than 21 nominations.

“Jessika is a consistent and compassionate support who brings peace of mind by treating their loved ones with genuine care and understanding.”
“Jessika’s commitment to delivering exceptional care and creating meaningful connections truly embodies what it means to make the possible happen.”

For their efforts, both Andrew and Jessika will receive a financial grant to be spent on a tailored reward experience. The two worthy finalists, Kylie in the Field Staff category and Vanessa in the Office category, will also each receive a financial grant.
