IN MEMORY OF LANA BELLEVILLE

A heartfelt tribute to Lana Belleville, whose dedication to care and community has left a lasting legacy across the Just Better Care network.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Lana Belleville, a valued member of the Just Better Care family and Franchise Owner of Just Better Care Macarthur for more than a decade. Lana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 10 March. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lana’s family, her team and the many people whose lives she touched.

Lana was far more than a Franchise Owner within the Just Better Care network. She was a deeply respected colleague, a passionate advocate for people in her communities and, to many, a trusted friend.

Over the years, Lana built not only a successful business but also warmth, kindness and genuine care for others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of working with her. Our thoughts remain with Lana’s Just Better Care team and her family during this difficult time.

A lifetime devoted to caring for others

Before becoming a Just Better Care Franchise Owner, Lana had already built a long and successful career as a community nurse. Her clinical experience and deep understanding of the healthcare system shaped the values that guided her throughout her professional life.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lana’s compassion for others extended into many areas of her life. She had a deep love for animals and generously gave her time to supporting people in need through volunteer work with Meals on Wheels and the St Vincent de Paul Society.

Having grown up in regional Australia, Lana was particularly committed to ensuring people living in rural and regional communities had equal access to quality healthcare. She understood first-hand the challenges faced outside major cities and worked tirelessly to bridge those gaps.

Her determination to reach people who might otherwise be overlooked was reflected in the diverse services her teams delivered. For Lana, care was not conditional; it was a fundamental right.

A champion for regional communities

Lana’s dedication extended far beyond the delivery of care services. She was deeply connected to the communities she served and actively supported local events, organisations and sporting groups across the regions where her teams operated.

Her belief in community participation and inclusion meant Just Better Care was a visible and supportive presence at many regional events. One memorable example was the Parkes Elvis Festival, where Lana proudly participated as a Gold Exhibitor Sponsor, combining engagement with her community and one of her personal passions: Elvis Presley.

“For Lana, the work was never just about providing services. It was about people, relationships and community.”

In conversation with Lana

In 2022, the Just Better Care Australia marketing team sat down with Lana to talk about her journey and what inspired her every day.

Lana shared her story, her passion for supporting people in regional communities.

A legacy that will continue

In the days following Lana’s passing, her son-in-law Simon has stepped in to support the business and ensure continuity for the clients, staff and communities Lana cared so deeply about.

We are grateful for Simon’s leadership during this time and know Lana would be proud to see her teams continuing the important work she started.

Lana believed deeply in a simple but powerful principle: everyone deserves quality care — wherever they live in Australia.

From all of us across the Just Better Care network (Just Better Care Australia, Franchise Owners, Support Office Teams, Support Workers and Community Partners), we thank Lana for her dedication, her friendship and the difference she made.
